Weekly Message

5-28-18 Good morning! I hope everyone is having a great and safe Memorial Day weekend with your family and friends.  Be sure to take a moment and thank your family members, friends, and/or strangers, which have served or are serving our country in some capacity for giving us, and maintaining for us, the great freedoms we get to enjoy as Americans.  Without each of them, our great nation would not be what it is today.  It is hard to believe we are in our final days of the 2017-18 School Year.  We want to extend an invitation to all parents and/or grandparents to join us this Wednesday for our awards assemblies (KDG-2nd-9:15-10; Grades 3-5-10-10:45; and 5th Grade Graduation-11-12).  We also want to remind you that our students will be dismissed at 1:30pm on Wednesday. Thank you for all of your efforts over this past school year! We truly appreciate your continued support of our students! Tiger Up! Matt

Masterpieces in The Making

The Founders of Columbia Cares Program continue to do great things for children.  This past week, their fundraising efforts allowed for the creation of a "Buddy Bench" on the Columbia Elementary Playground, and money to be donated towards a K-9 for The Mount Vernon Police Department.  We are really proud of both of these young ladies!

New Updates

Congratulations to The Class of 2018! We enjoyed having The Columbia Elementary Class of 2018 at our annual Senior Clap Out on Friday! Best wishes to all of you!! A Special Thank You to Our PTO! As a result of the hard work of our PTO, our students had an awesome Water Day 2018 last Thursday.  We appreciate all of the hard work and planning that everyone did for our students.  It is because of all of you that our students had a wonderful day! Thank you for everything!   LAST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS-May 30th Schedule: K-2 Awards Assembly-9:15-10am Grades 3-5 Awards Assembly-10-10:45am 5th Grade Graduation-11-12am Early Dismissal at 1:30pm Students' Medications-Need Picked Up By Parents: Please know that if your child has medication at school, it will need to be picked up on Wednesday. All inhalers and Epi-Pens home will be sent home with students on the last day of school. Please be sure to bring them to our school and we will donate them for you. Your efforts are very important because The Ronald McDonald House pays their entire electric bill each month through through recycling these pop tabs. PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING:) !
