Tiger Newsflash 2/28/16

2-28-16

Good evening!

I hope all is well! Over the last couple of weeks, I have spent a great deal of time working with our teachers while observing their instruction in detail and providing them with a great deal of feedback. This time spent and these conversations that have occurred have been both very promising and valuable.

Everytime, I get the opportunity to be in the classrooms watching instruction take place, I am often reminded about how blessed I am to be working with such great talent.  Specifically these couple times of year when I intentionally spend more time than I do during my daily walkthroughs. Instead I am spending at least 30 minutes in each classroom per sitting.

Teaching is an art that takes a lot of talent.  It is your choice where you enroll your children in school and we are blessed that you allow all of us to be a part of this very important part of their lives.  I want you to know that you have placed your trust in teachers that are very talented and caring individuals.  Thank you for your trust and confidence in The Columbia Elementary Experience!

In a day and age where children spend a lot of time playing video games or watching TV, I want to share this video with you as "food for thought."  Specifically how we can inspire their creativity even more:
