Hidden In Plain Sight:
A special thank you to the 20 adults that came out from our school to participate in the KSAAT
Hidden in Plain Sight Presentation. This presentation and the PTO Spaghetti Dinner was a great
success! Thank you to all of the supporters and participants of this evening!
During this presentation, we learned key signals of when a child is using some form
of Alcohol, Tobacco, and/or Other Drugs. Through a simulated child's
bedroom we physically went through various hiding spots and items that could be found to
harm the health of a person. This realistic presentation taught everyone in the room key
strategies and signals for keeping our children and community safe. Unfortunately, our children
even at the elementary age are affected in some fashion by ATOD in their lives. While they may
not be the users of these items yet, it is our reality that Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs are a
problem in our community. It is our job and responsibility to make sure we improve this reality
for our children.
Paying Forward to The Ronald McDonald House:
continued efforts. Your efforts are very important because The Ronald McDonald House pays their entire electric bill each month through the donation of pop tabs. PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING:) ! | ||||
