Good afternoon!
I want to start off this week's blog by thanking you and your children for the great year that we had at Columbia Elementary! We are truly blessed by the hard work and dedication of our students, staff, parents and community as we all continue to focus on excellence.
On Friday, we ended our school year by recognizing the excellent work of our students. Just to mention a few examples: we are very proud to know that 23 students in Grades 2-5 earned all A's during the Fourth Nine Weeks; Fifteen of these 23 students had earned all A's all year long; Fifty One students in Grades 2-5 earned Honor Roll during the Fourth Nine Weeks, and 32 students total in all grade levels were recognized for their outstanding efforts! There were also six students that received the great honor from President Obama to earn a Presidential Award. These Presidential Award winners were: Trevor Bell, Ashley Berg, Beau Bridges, Addision Christopher, Victoria Cook, and Zachary Mullins. To say the least, we are certainly proud of all of our students!

We also took our fun to a different level last week. We rewarded students that brought in sponsors for our 5K with Ariel Foundation and our PTO, and raised money for the upcoming 5th Graders to go to Outdoor Education next year through a Duct Taping Assembly. Please enjoy your summer break with your family and friends! Be safe and know that we love your children! We are looking forward to having them back for the 15-16 school year! We truly are very pleased with the nearly 4,200 views of this blog over the 14-15 School Year. Thank you to everyone!
