Tiger Newsflash 12-21-15

12-21-15

Good morning!

I want to take a moment of your time to thank all of you for your love and generosity that you have given.  While I apologize if I am missing any specific person or group, please allow me to express our gratitude to a few specific different groups of people before we get started with this brief Weekly Blog:

1)We are very thankful for the nearly 600 people that were in attendance during our Christmas Program at Faith Baptist Church.  While our parking situation could have improved and will improve for next year, we were very please by the hard work and dedication of our students and Mrs. Pat Eaton. Thank you to all that attended and all that helped support an awesome program. To add to this experience, I know we were blessed by the love and support of the Faith Baptist Church Community. They did an awesome job helping support us in our work.  A special thank you to Pastor Doug, Debbie, and the entire congregation for your love and support of our students!

2)I also want to thank Chief Christopher and Lieutenant Leo Swank from the Mount Vernon Fire Department. We cannot express our appreciation enough for taking time out of their day to speak with our students about the importance of both honesty and trust. These are two very important values that our students need to have to be successful in their lives.  We also appreciate the parents that attended this same assembly.  I deeply believe that all of us being in the same room as our students during these lessons helps reinforce the importance of these values to our students.

3)While we do not expect to get gifts each year, we do certainly appreciate the gifts you have given to us over this Christmas Season. I very much appreciated the art work, Tiger Blanket, Homemade Hat, Candy, Food, Starbucks Gift Cards, and etc that were given to me.  I know our I am echoing the thoughts of my colleagues for all that you have given to them.  Please know that allowing us to serve your children is enough and gifts are not necessary but certainly appreciated!!
