Happy New Year to Everyone! We are excited to be back with our students as we have begun the Third Nine Weeks of the 2015-16 School Year.  It is hard to believe that we are halfway through the academic year. During the first part of the year, we have seen our students succeed in many parts of their lives. However, sometimes their successes are a result of failing before they succeed:

Grade Cards went Home on Friday
Please make sure you have received a copy of your child's Second Nine Week's Grade Card. All students received them yesterday as they headed home for the weekend.  If you did not receive one, please be sure to contact your child's teacher.

PTO Fundraiser Item:

Be sure to use THIS SOUTHSIDE DINER COUPON (CLICK ON LINK) between now and 1/31/16. Use anytime, multiple times, and feel free to make copies...No limit:). Ten percent of all proceeds will go to Columbia Elementary PTO. These proceeds will go to the purchase and support of instructional supplies and/or activities to support student achievement at Columbia Elementary.

State Testing for Spring 2016

As you are planning your spring, please know that we are tentatively planning to administer State Testing on these dates below:

Drafted State Testing Schedule:

As we solidify these dates, I will keep you posted.  However, please be aware that between the middle of April and beginning part of May, we will be administering these State Required Tests for Grades 3-5.  These tests are important for the academic growth of your child and they play an important role for our school.
