Good afternoon!
I hope everyone had a wonderful break with your family and friends! I had an awesome time over Easter celebrating it with my wife and my in laws. As we both know, there are people that would complain about spending time with their in laws, but let me share with you that mine are fantastic! My in laws got me Peeps in my Easter Basket. I love Peeps!! I am promoting that Peeps should be its' own food group:) LOL!! Even better, my new grandmother purchased a Keurig for me to use at her home for when I visit. This is truly living the dream!!!
We are really excited to get our students back tomorrow morning! It is truly hard to believe that we are in the final stretch of the school year. While we are inching closer and closer to the end of the 2015-16 School Year, it is very important that our students continue working hard and stay focused as we still have a lot to accomplish. I am very happy to report that all grade levels achieved their Reading, Math, and Behavior Goals for the Third Nine Weeks, and I want to see a stronger ending to this school year.
One of my specific goals for this nine weeks is for our students to show the rest of the state of Ohio how great the Best and the Brightest are here at Columbia Elementary. This task is specifically up to our Third, Fourth, and Fifth Graders as they take their upcoming State Tests. These State Tests are what we call our Super Bowl! These State Tests are very important and provide a great wealth of knowledge for our level of services for our students. Last year, our students rose to the occasion to show Ohio the excellence at Columbia Elementary. It is critical that all of us work hard to maintain and to improve our standard of "excellence." It is our time to show the world how great our students are at Columbia Elementary! We can do this together!
